well it seems to me that a feather duster just spreads the dust around in the air.....so if you are trying to get rid of dust in the house all together by an air purifier. And dust with a cloth and something like pledge, that will pick up the dust, instead of just moving it around.

we cannot always get rid of dust...because of the wind..also we always carry dust from the environment to our home....that's why we always have to clean the house...nothing to worry about as long as you get rid of them...and you feel comfy and smell fresh air everytime after dusting.....
My family..we are used to in leaving our shoes in one compartment before entering the house in that way...we are also preventing some diseases...we got separate slippers inside and outside the house....

Use a micro cloth, which traps the dust in it or a swifer duster. Swifer is really good. I would vacuum if you had one that didn't just spread it back into the air. I use my swifer all over my house and it works wonders.

Go to a paint store and get yellow tack cloths. They are great! They will make you hands a little sticky but they will remove dust. Painters use them to remove fine dust before painting.

Use a clean cloth and some Pledge. Wipe everything down and them vacuum. In between you can go over everything with a feather duster.

use a cloth and some sort of cleaning solution...which can be as simple as water.

If you "dry dust" you will just be spreading it around, no matter how much the product claims it "grabs" the dust.

you live in a dry climate you get dust. If you get a humidifier in each room, it might help the control of dust.

Also you need to dust on a regular basis.

if you've lots of dust - you might want to check your filters and have your ventilation system cleaned. that hels a lot. also in many groceries stores they have these yellow dust cloths hanging - i think they are called one swipe or something like that. i have a bunch of them - they are washable and reusable and work wonderfully!!
