If so, please, explain what made him so charming, or however you would describe him? Also, are you still with him?

YES ! My husband truly swept me off my feet when we met. He was wonderful because he was so sweet, and right there with everything a girl wants. The man was ready to settle down, and felt lucky to find a girl he respected and was attracted to. His willingness to just put his heart out there and take a chance-- that's what really did it. For three years I had been trapped in one of those "on again, off again" romances, where the guy wasn't mature enough to commit, but wanted to keep me on a string. And suddenly, I broke up with him and gave in to this new guy. He was gorgeous in his US Navy uniform-- that didn't hurt, either. And we were promised to one another 2 weeks later, engaged 2 months after that, and married 8 months after engagement. And yes, still together, 34 years... have raised 4 children, and he is THE BEST.

Yes, I've had that, BUT I've never trusted it, and for good reason! A man that comes off as a perfect stranger is hiding the real man inside, that 99% of the time isn't worth getting to know. He's buttering you up for a reason! I've been lucky enough to have found a great husband without all the horse crap, and we've been strong for 10 yeas now.

Yes, and no I am not still with him. He was so persistent and intense in his feelings for me. I held out for the longest time, then I finally gave in and went out with him, it was wonderful. We did not get married, or even date for that long. I ended up having to move very far away for my job, and he ended up moving the other way as well. We would contact eachother about every 3 years and it was still there. Unfortunately he had an obsessive ex and I was stupid and got married (to a man I divorced). The last time I saw him he was in a relationship, that was very rocky, but he wasn't ready to give up on it. So I walked away, I didn't want to be the one responsible for the breakup, if it came to that. That all staterd when I was 20, I am now 36. If he came to me now and wanted to try again I would have to think really hard about it, I still love him, and I know he still loves me, but that isn't always enough.

Yes! I met him on the net. We had absolutely everything in common. Then he told me what he looked like. He was the absolute perfect man for me. Dark hair and dark eyes that I adored. I flew to meet him and he had a rose petal on each stair up to his apartment for me and a piece of chocolate ( my favorite ) on every other stair. He made me the most delicious dinner and everything was perfect. He could read my mind. He turned out to be the biggest two timing narcissistic jerk I ever met in my life. He married a woman he said was just a friend.

Hum - you said nothing about a "perfect stranger " sweeping you off your feet. LOL.

Yes and it can be someone you've known for a while.

But then he dropped me, and I haven't been well since.
