My 32 years old wife cannot wear pierced earrings because she never had her earlobes pierced. IMO it's a pity: she would really be cute wearing a nice pair of earrings (e.g. little pearl studs or golden hoops).
She loves earrings too, but unfortunately she's scared by needles.
How can I convince her to take the plunge and go for ear piercing?

The pain isn't bad. If my 7-year-old can do it...she can. Heck!! I have 2 holes in each ear. Go with her to get them done..hold her hand and be very supportive. If she absolutely refuses to do it, then let it go..it isn't worth fighting over. There are some cute clip-on's if you look hard enough. Good luck!!!

It doesn't even hurt. They don't use needles, they use an earring to pierce. And it's not like that take a chunk of your earlobe. They split it so it's not gross either.

It was soo funny. They put the earring on my earlobe and they said "Did that hurt?" and I said "No." Then they said "Good, how about now?" and they pierced my ear and it didn't hurt either. She needs to loosen up a little bit, it wont' hurt unless she believe it will, then it will hurt, badly.

Say "Honey I love you, but if you really like earrings, go for it. It doesn't hurt at all sicne they formed a new painless way. Plus it's a trend for a long time."

Tell her that some 3 year olds insist on getting it done, and dont even say ow. If she still won't then get an ear pierced yourself (you can always take it out) If not then, try bribery. Take herto a fancy jewelry store and have her point out her favorite ones. Tell her that you'll buy them for her if she pierces her ears. If she still wont then let it go.

Getting your ears pierced is a private determination and he or she should not be forced by ability of anybody to have it carried out. whilst somebody has a valid worry, you are able to purely be supportive. you will get magnetic rings at rings shops that look purely like pierced rings, however the magnet holds them at the same time devoid of having them pierced. You by no ability understand...in case you get her a pair of those and he or she likes how they provide the impression of being she might desire to arise with the assumption of having her ears pierced herself (it may be greater advantageous if it became her theory, you recognize!).

Let her know that nowadays the piercing process is quick and for the most part does not hurt. has she seen the way it is done? Take her to Claire's and have her watch how quick and painless it is. It is done quick and once she sees it, she might just get it done. Then reward her with a nice pair of earrings :)

Tell her that the pain for having your ears pierced is nothing compared to wearing clip-on earring for the rest of her life. Yow! Now that's painful!

Bribe the hell out of her. You don't even see the needle just be there to hold her hand and give her lots of kisses afterwards. Oh and you should probably buy her a nice expensive pair of earrings...matching necklace couldn't hurt either..

If she doesn't want to pierce, leave her alone about it. Some women do, some women don't. It is her body and her choice. If she hasn't done it yet because she's scared of needles, she may not ever do it.

What difference does it make what YOU want. It's HER ears. Let HER make the decision.
