What if they had a green, or even purple nose? Would the respect still be there...

Wasn't it the Rev. Martin Luther Clown Jr, who said something like this?

No, the red nose just does something for me that a green or purple nose can't... :-)
However, I do believe that I won't base my trust on the color of a Clown's nose. I look far deeper into a Clown than that. If I look any deeper, then I fear I will drown! Ah!!!
P.S. I respect anybody that respects me... Even if they don't respect me, I try to respect them.

You can't trust any clown. Clowns that change the colour of their nose are trying to trick you into thinking they are different to all the other clowns.
But beware! as soon as they think you have relaxed and are enjoying the circus, BAM , you've been splatted with a cream pie.

i would think the clown didn't really have real clown credential w. out the red nose. i would think "generic clown"
