I am older and I'll have to take "or what." For example cynical applies, as well as cranky, impatient, intolerant, bitter, despondent, pessimistic, disappointed, and depressed. But what you really get when you get older is the awareness that you really never did, and never will, know a hell of a lot about anything that's going on to begin with. Come to think of it, maybe that's wisdom after all.
