My wife is only 5ft 2in, but weighs 22 stone. I dont have a problem with that as i love her with all my heart and i tell her everyday. Recently she came to bed dressed up to make things more adventourous, but she dressed as a sexy clown and i did everything to encourage her, but during sex her spring loaded glasses poped out and i ended up creased with laughter on the floor. This has hurt her bad as she thinks i was laughing at her, but it was the glasses. I now feel bad...............

Would people have gone out on a date looking all scruffy? Probably not. Just because someone gets married doesn't mean they should stop making an effort to look nice. You don't have to look like a model 24/7 but neither should people spend all their time together in sweatpants and ratty hair. You're supposed to love your spouse for who they are, yes. But how they take care of themselves says something about who they are. And constantly running around looking like crap says something about how they feel about their spouse as well. If they can't even fix their hair or put on nice clothes (the most basic of efforts) they're probably not putting much effort into anything else either.

She was dressed up as a clown. Clowns are funny. Especially clowns doing the deed. Not to make matters worse but I would laugh too.
Anyway, make sure to apologize and say that it was funny to you and you weren't laughing at her personally. Some flowers, chocolate, and some puppy eyes will help. Lots of luck to you, my clown-loving friend! =')

Explain to her that you weren't laughing at her but at the glasses. Do something that will make her happy, send her flowers or take her out to dinner.

Thank you, thank you. I got a good laugh over that. Your reaction was simple enough. Buy her flowers and beg her to be herself and come back to bed.
