No. The proper way to destroy an old flag is to burn it. If we want America to be "free" we have to be "free" to protest. That means not condemning someone for celebrating the meaning of freedom. If the flag is a symbol of freedom, but it is illegal to burn it, that means we aren't free.

I'm all for Flag Burning, of old flags (American of course). As long as it is done in a respectful manner. This usually is done by The American Legion on Flag Day. As far as legalizing it as a form of protest, I can go along with that as long as a good A$$-whooping is indicated a s a legal reward for those who do the burning.

i definitely dont agree w/ flag burning, but it has to b legal b/c it is part of free speech. its what comes w/ livin in a free country, so i guess i cant complain too much, but it is very disrespectful

it think it's wrong to fly an old flag so you have to burn it but there is a correct way to do so...you have to go through a process....if they don't go through the process then ya i guess it should be illegal

no ........ never ......... freedom of expression .............. just like a murderer rights to a fair trial ........... no matter how obnoxious it may seem ............ but still it must be uphold
