If you read the UN resolution on NK -http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,220637,00.html - you see that the UN is toothless. And, isn’t that better than if they could arbitrarily set their sites on the US? Mightn’t this facilitate our divorce from the UN?

Foxnews was the only source I could find that had the entire text of the resolution; the UN & DoS websites don't even have it!

The UN is, and MUST always remain, impotent. It is a viciously anti-American organization and one that we should, in all honesty, withdraw from and send packing from our shore. It's a simple matter of mathematics. How many nations of the world like us? And how many are our enemy? The enemy list is far longer and, in a democratic 1-country/1-vote setup the UN will ALWAYS be against what we want. I want a world dominated by America and not by a bunch of gimpy 3rd world nations operating under the UN. Only the liberal Democrats want expanded UN authority because they hate America and always embrace our enemies like the low-down scurvy peace-loving traitors they are.
Patriotic Americans will NEVER support the UN.

We're already pretty divorced from the U.N. and are paying dearly for it.
We are way behind on our payments - what do we say about people who
owe us money?

I wholeheartedly agree that the UN has major problems - but its the only
general diplomatic avenue we have. Clearly "going it alone" was an
extremely stupid thing to do.

Do not use Fox news for anything other than a source of humor. They
have already been sued multiple times by their own reporters for
them supressing or altering articles that would offend their advertisers.

UN is an ineffective supposed to be a world government. It cannot do anything about abuses of states just like what North Korea did in testing nuclear weapons. UN must be strong on this matters. Otherwise, it will be not respected.
