I don’t remember all the exact details, but it went something like this:

I checked with Planned Parenthood, when I was 18. They said no. I tried another place when I was 20, and they said no.

The third place said yes (in 1996, I was 21), because I lied and told them I had children. I went though the 2 hour group counseling. Nothing big….. “Hi, I am Sam Smith I have two kids and I don’t want any more”. There were something like 4 other men. We drank coffee and talked to the group administrator. They showed a movie with graphic details. All but two dropped out.

On the day of the surgery, I shaved myself, and got a ride to the clinic. They gave me a the gas. There was as surgeon, and two nurses. I felt a few needle pricks, and some tugging. I was talking to the nurse about BS the whole time. It felt like the whole thing took maybe 10 min. I was out of there in about 30 min total. I has some bruising, but no pain, or swelling of any kind. I worked a desk job, so I was back to work in two days. I followed all the directions in the handout, and took the anti-biotic that they told me to take. I never bothered to get the perscribed pain killer becuse Vikadin makes me sick. I had no pain, and I didn't walk funny at all.

I was back to "working-out" in the bedroom with the wife in only a week.

I had a sperm count taken 3 times(several months apart). Ok, I know you have to ask. How do they get the sample? My wife helped me obtain the samples. That should be enough detail.

I paid cash. The total came to $250.

My sex drive increased a whole lot, and has shown no sign of ever decreasing! :)

The good news is next May it was 20 years ago. The novelty has never wore off. I think I will celebrate!

I still have all of my man-hood but know a guy, who had his nuts clipped by his family doctor. This doctor was our family doctor then, and his name came up in a conversation with this guy. This guy told me, that he had been clipped (vasectomy), and the doctor "must of done something wrong"! I asked him, "why was that"? He replied, that he was swollen "down there" and one of his nuts looked like a "bowling ball". He continued to tell me, that he was walking bull-legged for about a month after the procedure then, the swelling "went down" and he is "fine, now" !!! I, myself, hated the "like a bowling ball" part of our conversation, and opted to stick to billiards (pool) because I hate to see one pin standing !!!
