Go to napster.com, get an account ( its super easy ), Dont download anything, search for whoever or whatever song or artist you want, click the music and a pop-up will come up with your music playing instantly. It's completely legal.

You cannot get free music legally, to my knowledge. But there are plenty of safe legal sites that only charge a few cents per song. They are the best way to go if you don't want to invest in a full CD. They can get quite expensive, I know. But there is, to my knowledge, no legal way to get free music
