The best answer is the answer you already know... but itsn't easy: Calorie restriction (low carb dieting) and exercise.

I'm a pharmacist and people ask me this question a lot, and they seem to always be looking for some magic pill to make them loose weight. Most medications available are speed like so you don't feel so hungry (jittery and heart racing side effects), make you poop out the fat (side effects include oily greasy leaky stools... ew), or mess with your thryoid hormone (please don't do that).

The only medication I'd even consider is Meridia, that acts sort of like an anti-depressant in controlling appetite, but also has risks of increasing blood pressure and heart rate. For more info check out the manufacturer's web site at www.meridia.net. It's pricey and should be used over several months along with diet and exercise.
You'll need support from people you live with in your new eating habits. Persons starting a new exercise regimen are more successful when they have a friend going through it with them too. Good luck!

well i think the most fast way to lose weight is the carb diet. yes they are some goods and bads to go along with the diet but it works the good part about this diet is the weight comes off fast and u can tell the weight loss soon as it comes off but the bad part is once u come off of the diet u have to watch what u eat and make sure u don't over eat b/c it will come back if u don't watch our intake of food. but i hope i helped u every way possible and i wish u the best of luck with your weight loss.

It's as simple as counting calories, this alone will cause fat loss. Exercise will speed up the process. Start by trying to consume between 1200 and 1500 calories per day and walking 30 or more minutes at least 5 days per week. Good luck!
