After completing all the paperwork for a work permit that has to be granted by your school, apply for jobs where you see other people your age working. When you go for the interview, wear the colors that their employees are wearing if you can.

If you are really good in a particular subject and would like to assist others -- make a few posters and get permission to hang them up where they will be seen. Ask your parents/guardian to spread the word, too.

Of course there is babysitting. Being red cross certified helps.

In the meantime while you are waiting for all of these things to come through, collect cans, bottles, glass for recycling. Every bit will help and it is better than not having anything to start with . . . find out where your neighborhood recycling center is and how much they pay per pound.

See if it would be possible for you to do housework for a neighbor (say, every Saturday morning or Thursday night -- make sure the expectations are real and set the hourly price and expected time it will take prior to closing the agreement) -- get permission from your care providers first and make sure it is a neighbor you trust when you put the word out.

Actually, you do have to be 16 . It's a federal alw,but most fast food places will hire you. The downside is you can only work four hours a day during the weekdays. So if you don't mind schlepping sodas and burgers, then go to it.
Oh, when picking up your application, dress up. Your future employer might surprise you and interview you on the spot and maybe even hire you right there and then. So don't show up in torn jeans with flip flops popping your gum.
Bring your state issued ID card or Drivers License and your actual Social Security card.

I use a site called Treasure Trooper to fill out surverys and complete offers and get paid monthly for doing it. It's a great site that is alot of fun and completely free to join and particiapte in. I understand if you are skeptical because there are alot of scams out there but you should check out this one and see for yourself it is indeed legit.

http://www.treasuretrooper.com/167777...

You can go there and look around the site, I recommend looking at the forum where members interact and help each other out and even post pictures of the checks they recieve each month from Treasure Trooper! If you do signup that would be awesome if you could keep the 167777 at the end, it's my referral code and Treasure Trooper pays you 20% of whatever your refferals make each month!!! Hope this helps and good luck :)

make up a flyer for your neighbors stating that you will do odd jobs for $5.00/hour. I would hire a pre-teen or teen anyday to weed my garden, wash my car, walk my dogs, vacuum, etc. etc. by the hour.

You can get a job if your school signs paperwork that says you can- in my state anyway.
Or you could babysit.
