A theatrical trailer is a trailer that's shown in a theater; it's usually a couple minutes long and they're shown months before TV ads are. More often than not, it gives you more information about the movie but often doesn't give a specific release date (and sometimes not even a rating). Teaser trailers are shown on TV and websites, and are usually shorter; maybe 30 seconds to a minutes long. I think (but I don't know for sure) that the reason they're called "teasers" is because they're short and 'tease' you with only a teeny bit of information about the movie. However, they almost always contain the specific information of when the movie will be released and the rating.

A 'Teaser' usually comes out while the movie is just begining filming and rarely features actual scenes from the movie. Usually, just the movies 'logo' and 'coming 00-00-0000'.
A 'Trailer' is a preview of the movie :-)

Nothing. Just different terms. It was called a trailer because it used to come after the feature. The more commonly used term is trailer.

Teasers are shorter... around 30 seconds or so.

Trailers are the longer "commercials" you see...
