the blower is not, what can I do to fix this.

With the engine running, turn the ignition key back toward "Off" just a fraction. You may find that the blower starts. This is a common fault in 1980s M-Bs and is due to wear in the switch. It was the first fault I found in my C126. I know the 450SEL is not from the '80s but it probably has the same kind of ignition switch.
The switch can be repaired without having to get a new key.

Other causes are blown fuse and wear in the blower switch itself. MB fuses are notorious for appearing to be OK but actually being blown.

A COMMON PROBLEM YOU CAN EITHER SODER THE WIRE BACK ON THE BLOWER MOTOR OR YOU CAN REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR ITS UNDER THE RIGHT SIDE DASH YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE PANEL UNDER THERE TO GET TO IT

Either the fan is bad or the fan fuse is.

Have your chauffeur check the fuse.
