When you do the roll in the end of the pool to go to the reverse direction, does water go in to your nose? Whenever I try to do the somersault, water go in to my nose, am I doing something wrong?

Some people must be descended from seals. They seem to be able to close off their nostrils and never get water up their nose, no matter what they do. A lot of synchronized swimmers have this ability.
If, however, you are an ordinary mortal like the rest of us, there are two solutions to the problem. The first is to exhale gently as you are going your turn. The expelled air will keep the water from going up your nose. The second is to buy a nose clip. There are two kinds, a neat little one that just clips on your nose and you can slip it on your little finger when you take it off in the pool, so you don't lose it. The other kind is a big clunky one on a rubber band that goes around your neck. If you feel really anal about losing your clip, then that would solve the problem, but the little synchro clips do stay on well.

No, your upside down, water will def. go up your nose. Just blow a little air out of your nose as you flip and that should keep the water out.

lol, well, i suggest bloowing out as you flip. this lets the water not go up your nose. p.s. this 'roll' is called a flip turn'
