Some parents think it has some underlying adult stuff. My son is 10 and he loves Sponge Bob..most of the stuff goes right over his head.

I have heard that also from church groups. I don't think it's inappropriate at all. My kids like the cartoon, helps their imagination. They like to play pretend and be Bob and friends.

Spongbob is not inappropriate for kids beacause if you have dish network and you press the info button on the remote, it says Family/children.

It teaches kids that life at sea is all fun and games in hopes that it will get them to take up careers as commercial fishermen for Gortons. Once they get there it pretty much sucks.
