When I saw the previews for Take the Lead (a dance movie with Antonio Banderas) i wanted to see it so bad. but it never came to a movie theater close to my town. Then i never heard anything about it since--it just kind of disappeared. Then last night i saw it at the store on sale. has anyone seen it? what did you think about it? should I buy it or not even waste my time with it?

Saw it last night. I thought that it was pretty good, especially in the beginning when he's waiting to speak with the principal and when he has a friend show his "class" how to dance the tango.

I saw it. I thought it was a great movie. It also has the guy Dante Basco the guy who plays Rufio from Hook. Another good dancing movie is Step Up. But I don't think it is out yet. If you are a big fan of Antonio Banderas get it!

It's a good movie if you like dance. But here' a recommendation.
Rent "Mad Hot Ballroom" first. This is a documentary of the dance program that was started by the person Antonio Bandaras plays in "Take The Lead". I would watch them back to back, if you have the time.

It's not the best movie, but it was worth the rental. I'm glad I didn't pay for a movie ticket, it was a little slow in parts, but I liked it. The dancing was good. I wouldn't buy the DVD, just rent it that way you're only out 5 bucks if you don't like it.

My friend said it was terribly corny. One of the girls on there was a contestant on America's Next Top Model! that show rules.

Well I also LOVE ANTONIO and I also enjoy dance films. It is a mixture of hip hop with ballroom. I enjoyed it immensely.. I even bought it.....

i'm not gonna say it's THE best dance movie cuz i'm sure we all have had our moments with DANCE WITH ME or DIRTY DANCIN' but if u're a bit into dane and music you'd absolutely LOVE this movie.
it's quite entertaining.
