Let's see, I played both and watch a lot of both.
College hands down!
I have played and watche football all over the country and there is nothing like walking into a college football stadium. In fact if you have ever watched the movie "Rudy", the part where Rudy's father walks into Notre Dame and says, "This is the most beautiful site might eyes have ever seen", that really is an amazing feeling. The student body cheering on their team, the BANDS, oh the BANDS, you don't get those in the Pros, the traditions, etc...
In the Pro's you get a bunch of guys whinning about this and that. Plays are set up so that the guy with the best contract gets the most chances at getting the ball, even if they actually really stink. It is not as pure.
The only thing holding up College Football is no playoff system. I can't understand why they can't pull that together. It would make more money than any other sports series easy. March Madness, would become March Dullness if College football had iits own December Madness. Imagine Christmas day, 4 more teams left. 2 great playoff games, people at home watching, tons of advertising dollars, just to find out who is going to play for the TRUE championship on New Years Day. I have CHILLS!

NFL. Look at the scoreboard after a weekend of football. Who had the closer games? NCAA or NFL? NFL everytime. Plus, in the past decade there have been few teams that didn't make the playoffs at least once (Houston, New Orleans, Cleveland, Detroit, am I missing anyone?) That means that about 26-28 of the 32 teams have had a legitimate chance at the Super Bowl. Now look at college. How many out of the pool of teams have a real chance of EVER winning a national title? Not that many really. In college, if you suck, you have a good chance of always sucking. But in the NFL...a team can always make a turn around. Just look at the Saints. Really, that's all you have to do. Look at the Saints from last year and the Saints from this year and tell me that the NFL isn't an amazing thing. Plus NFL teams can't pay the weaker teams to come get slaughtered just to pad the win column. And everyone has an equal number of home and away games (last season with the Saints was a fluke year).

College football is much more dramatic, more exciting, more intense rivalries. Don't get me wrong. I like pro football (I must I'm a Lion fan) but I love College football. By the Way, GO BLUE!!

College.
First, it is more of a team thing. A group of guys work hard for 4 years to accomplish a championship together. More comradery.
Also, if you are a student or an alumni of that college, you have a lot of passion for the school...you feel more tied in with the game...more connected.
College games have the best rivalries and the most passionate games. The players don't get in trouble as much like the wild NFL players.

RIGHT ON GO PANTHERS...
But lemme answer the question. College football is fun to watch...at times. I'll watch games like Florida vs Auburn the other night...that was worth it...but when it's 48-7 or something like that...I want good games, not blowouts. College teams are heavily based on what school is better when it comes down to it...if they can recruit more people...and that makes them lopsided...it's horrible until it comes down to the bowl games or just two ranked really good teams. NFL requires a hell of a lot more tallent to play it....Our Panthers' very own DeAngelo Williams had two 2,000 all-purpose yard seasons in college...he'll never get that in the NFL...and I think it's better than players and teams don't dominate in the NFL like they do in college....except this years Bears anyway.
Anyway....GO PANTHERS!!!

I will admit that the hype of college football is a slight better, but in terms of rivalries, what about the competitive divisional games. Dont tell me theres no rivalry. (pitt&cincy, afc west, dallas&wash) Until college football gets a playoff system, then the NFL will always stay king of sports and football.

Definitely college ball. They aren't so serious about being "pro." as those guys are. Once you go pro, it's all about the money, that takes all the fun out of it to me...I like ALL football, my favorite teams are...
College:
#1 Michigan Wolverines
#2 Ohio St.
#3 Penn St.
Pro:
#1 Dallas Cowboys
#2 Green Bay

College is better to go see in person. Pro is better to watch at a bar/home.
