When I was 13, I really wanted to wear makeup. My mom made me wait until I was 15. It was the right decision. Any younger than that, you look ridiculous. While you're no longer a child, you're not a young woman either. Lip-gloss and nail polish, I've never considered makeup, so I can't really be against it.

For a little bit of lipgloss - 11+
Eyeliner - 14+
Mascara - 15+
Blush - 14+
Foundation - 14+
Nail Polish - 11+
Eye Shadow - 14+

If you wear all the makeup and you are like a 6th grader, it just makes me laugh. They seem to be pretending to be grownups and it looks hilarious and stupid. They can't even apply eye shadow and mascara correctly. It's just because they want to be like adults because they had entered a new school and it's middle school.

My daughters have been playing with make up for as long as I can remember, even in there toddler hood.

Wearing it out? Well, I let them both wear a dash of lip gloss on special occaisions (they are 9 and 8) - but I don't think I'd like a full face of make up on them. They are allowed to wear nail polish on school holidays.

I guess 14 or 15 I'd let them wear make up, but will get back to you then....

I think whenever you start feeling comfortable to wear it. Make-up sort of is a confidence builder. It makes you feel pretty and sexy. If you need a lift wear it. Just the younger you are the less you should wear. I started wearing it when i was 7. I don't know why but it makes me feel better about my self. I would suggest if your young. A light concealer, light natural eyeshadow/mascara. Stay away from eyeliner it makes you look to... covered maybe sometimes a little dark. But otherwise just wear what you feel comfortable in!!!

Personally if you have good skin (i.e little or no acne, even skin tone, basically perfect complexion) then i wouldn't wear any kind of powder or foundation just stick with lip gloss or mascara or eyeliner. The longer you wait to wear make-up the better it is on your skin just use sunscreen and have a good cleaning regimen.

A little lip gloss and mascara when your in 6th &7th grade. And then in 8th, you can start with eyeliner and a light blush. Then High school you have the freedom to wear whatever you want... and you're gradually doing it; so people wont notice the difference!!
