When your birthday falls on the borderline of two signs which one do you choose?

My birthday is January 20th. It falls in either Capricorn or Aquarius depending on what horoscope you read. I have read the characteristics of both signs and I am like both. Which sign do I go with?

Check the year you were born, sometimes the dates flucuate depending on the year. Also, I agree with the suggestion to get a chart done, but I personally recommend astro.com because it's just a simpler layout. You may have a lot of planets in either Capricorn or Aquarius, or you may be a Capricorn with an Aquarius rising or an Aquarius with a Capricorn rising that makes you feel like both. :) Best of luck!

Since this is impossible it doesn't make much sense in answering it. I was born on Dec 21. I am a 29.6 degree Sagittarius. My son was also born Dec. 21 and he's a 0.1 degree Capricorn. Both of us are pretty happy with who we are. Like what Amber said, fun and responsibility is a pretty good balance. I know that I have far more Sagittarian traits than I do Capricorn. But these traits could be because my Sag rising and Venus as well. I do have a Mercury in Capricorn though.

Hey Megan,
I'm in the same position (Leo/Virgo). People who are born in the crossover time (or on the cusp) will usually have the characteristics of both star signs and as such would be both (greedy I know - but thats the way it is).
If you get numerous publications (as I'm sure you may have done) you will vary (according to they're dates~).
Sorry I cant provide a direct answer, but this way you have more options also.

You're more Aquarius. You were born after the sun left Capricorn. It always moves forwards in astrology - not backwards. My dad's birthday is January 19th and he's definitely more like an Aquarius than a Capricorn. Be happy. Aquarius' have more fun.

I'm like that i was born on the 20th of March some say i'm Pisces and others say i'm Aries but that is really confusing considering what star sign you wanna belong to??? I just claim Pisces! do you know your time of birth if you do ask them (astrology staff) what star sign you is? and tell you time of birth that's if you know it.

Wow...that's cool! If you like both signs, (do not do the close your eyes and pick game) make a little survey for your friends like: should i pick aquarius or capricorn? it will be fun, and trust me, you would be happy when you get to choose one. personally, both is not a great idea. i mean, you will have strength, but maybe you WOULD like to have just one. In my opinion, I like the aquarius, because I'm one for aquatic life.

Often falling on a cusp you have characteristics of both and also need to not both horroscopes... it gets complicated.... sometimes they cancel things out sometimes it heightens the influences this leads to having the best and worst of two signs

same thing happens with me - my birthday is december 21st - sagittarius according to some horoscopes, and capricorn according to others. i also have characteristics for both, so i just read both no matter which the particular horoscope says i am. horoscopes are just for fun anyway! but i usually take the sagittarius horoscope more seriously b/c i have found that most horoscopes, with the exception of a few, place me as a sagittarius.
