Did they install the part properly and reset the light? was thet the real problem to begin with? If this was done by a shop take it back and have them re-scan it. They either replaced the wrong part or there is another problem, probably an oxygen sensor.

Was egr replaced because it had a code for that component?if so then the exaust passageway may be plugged with carbon, a common problem with that make and engine combo.
