Some things I can just brush off as humorous or the product of bureaucracy or cultural differences, but North Korea just affects me a lot. Why is that?

because the media and our government make north korea out to be germany right around the time the nazi's took over. I don't take much stock into the supposed threat that north korea presents. We were told that Iraq had wmd's, that saddam was a brutal dictator and that the people would welcome us with open arms, we were told that the oil would pay for the war, we were told that bin laden was wanted dead or alive, we were told that pakistan was our ally in this fight against terrorism. All of them are lies. So I won't be fooled again by the bull crap that we are being pushed. The reason north korea is trying to enhance their nuclear program is to protect themselves from the new nazi's, the bush administration.

it is universal when it comes to attitude. The north Korean government has been thumbing it's nose to the world. Consider even their closest ally China had enough of them and joining the UN to sanction North Korea. It says something about their attitude.
Their are a slim ball right now. They promise this, that when they need something. Afterward, they just go on and ignore what they have promised. They try to make threats to others. That of course pissing everyone off.
It is hard to believe these people and what they are trying to do. They incompetences has kill scores of their own people. China and South Korea has been shipping food and aids to help the north Korean through the starvations. But the government just turn around and making threats to everyone around. What kind of low lives are these North Korean government. They people are suffering and these government officials just kept spending money on military and themselves. That do turn people off big time.

cultural differences, i guess. it's what my us history professor made us realize, if US and N Korea switched places, there would be the same thing-banning the US from developing nuclear stuff. We just go there first-before all other Asian/European/African, etc countries.

Because of the extreme level of instability it puts the world in. I highly believe that at some point they will be the catalyst for the beginning of ww3

because they are capable of killing tens of millions and not thinking twice about it.
and they are capable of selling a few bombs to the terrorists to bring INTO the USA kill tens of hundreds of thousands and flatten many cities and they will think that's what their god wants them to do
maybe that's why
and one day it WILL happen because they are really mad at us..even though their leader loves all our movies and actors..he still tells his people to hate us and kill us ...
and not to mention China is their real close friend..

...could be because they are threatening to launch a nuclear weapon and havent designated a target- meaning they intend to launch a "nuke" into the air and where it lands they do not care...
