i just got a new gay friend for which i'm happy about cause it's my first one! ok he tells me that it's hard to date men in miami cause they are only seually based like not a real relationship. i asked him if it's homosexuals in general or is it us tin miami? he say lezbiens are not like that but gay men are, which i disagree, i told him eventho he is my first gay friend i think that cheat it's a personality issue [let's just say i think people who does that are just cowards] and not the fact that they are gay...agree or disagree? your opinion, thank you!

As gay men emerge from the closet, they engage in what has been termed "delayed adolescence." During this period they may act as if they were in high school, when serial dating was common, and for some, simple recreational sex. This is the fantasy world for a lot of adolescent boys, and we shouldn't be surprised that gay men would move in that direction.
For many gay men, however, this period of sexual exploration is followed by the desire to "settle down." It's not unusual for monogamy to develop. However, there remain venues where ready sex is available.
That said, monogamy is not a model that is sought by all gay men. Some men prefer serial monogamy, open relationships, or single life filled with brief encounters. Your friend, if he's young, may know a lot of men who are still exploring what it means to be gay. There are people who will be more conservative in their approach to sexuality. He could consider trying to meet someone online so they both know that they're eventually looking for something more like a traditional marriage.

In general, I think that gay men would cheat if given the chance.... in general. There are a lot of us who would like to be in a relationship more than the occasional (or more often than occasional) hookup. At some point, most people probably realize that while the thrill of hooking up is fun, that it does get old quickly. Others seem to never tire of it, which would lead me to believe that it's a personality issue, more related to choice than anything else.

I'm gay and I'm in real relationship. In fact, I'm with the first man I ever had sex with and loved and I don't plan on cheating on him or leaving him. Some people like to see what else is out there... I on the other hand am content with my love and only being with one person!

I believe think cheating is a personal issue. It would be quite unfair to peg categories as to who's more likely to cheat. I, for one, never thought I could cheat on anyone. That's because cheating is against my principles. But, as it turned out, I cheated on my ex. I never saw that coming, and I guess the fact that she cheated on me with a guy did help push me to cheat on her. But the fact remains that I cheated on her. So, I'm guessing that it's just a personal choice. The circumstance to cheat would come up, and it's up to you to take the bait or leave it hanging.
I do regret that I hurt my ex when I cheated on her. But I don't regret the act at all. It led to me finding the person I'm really meant to be with. It's just sad that someone had to get hurt for me to realize this. \m/

It depends on the person regardless of female or male. If they are going to cheat then they will do so.
