I have a new computer. A Gigabyte S series AM2 mother board, an AMD athlon 64 3800 and a PNY Geforce 7600 GS 512. I have the system put together but when i go to install windows it holds up when it gets to the setup starting windows section. I believe it is because of my Samsung SATA 120 gb harddrive. I do not have a driver disk for the hard drive and do not know what to do. How do i get my system running?

You shouldn't have to use a disk at all. Check your cables to make sure it's getting power (by only 1 power source, not both the legacy and SATA power cable connector) and that the SATA data cable is securely plugged in. Next, if you have only one hard drive, make sure that you have the jumper selector set to Master as shown on the diagram on the back top. Next, it should just be a matter of installing windows on the selected drive. You've gotta create a partition, most common of which will be the largest size possible leaving only 8MB of space available. Then rechoose that partition to do the format and install on. If you have any problems beyond that, call either microsoft or samsung and get a telephone walkthrough.

You need that disk to install the drive. During windows installation you have to press the F6 key and load a driver type file that you've copied from the Samsung's HDD's installation CD to a floppy. If you need the system quickly, install a standard IDE drive or return that OEM SATA drive and get a RETAIL SATA drive that comes with a installation CD.
