I was watching MTV's True Life: I'm addicted to Meth, and I was wondering if anybody could tell me how they can document someone using drugs, since it's illegal to do drugs.
How do they avoid being charged?

These people had probably already been charged and convicted of their offenses.... and were TOTALLY out of money because of the horrid waste of their addiction, and the legal costs of going through the courts... and MTV probably PAID them SO much money, they were able to get out of debt and back on their feet that way.

So, of course, who WOULDN'T take that GIFT???
