He's only been in the league 7 seasons, and he already has over 650 receptions and over 10,000 receiving yards, and 61 TD's.

I think he's a lock.

I think the odds are in his favor that he will end up a Hall of Famer. However, I have a hard time calling him a "lock" if he were to end his career today.

An unofficial criteria for Hall of Fames that I hear mentioned often is "dominance at one's position". Here is how Holt has finished among receivers for receiving yards per year.
2000 - 1st
2001 - 5th
2002 - 7th
2003 - 1st
2004 - 4th
2005 - 6th
(1999 his rookie year he caught 52 receptions for 788 yards and 6tds.)

He definitely dominated, in my opinion, but has he played long enough? Right now I rate him at a 70% chance of getting in. Good odds? Yes. Lock? Not in my opinion.

Will Brett Favre be in the hall of fame?.....Of course Torry Holt is on his way...but probably not in the first year eligable like Favre...Holt will be there eventually, but his career isn't over yet...I actually played against this guy in my fantasy league!!!!

Lucky for me I had Tomlinson on my side...4tds.....he saved my team today big time...Holt had me worried.
