the heat comes from the contraction and relaxation of all the muscles in your body, however goosepimples are caused by the hair follicles standing up on end very quickly to try and insulate you body with air, shivering uses alot of ATP

The friction from your muscles "rubbing" against themselves during the "shivering" process creates friction produced heat when your body is unable to compensate for the heat loss on its own. That is why we shiver. :)
