Hi funnyfun--your question couldn't be more apropos! I never thought about it one way or the other until I got a call from a guy I was really close to, on his way home, his WIFE (?) found out about us & he wanted me to call her & tell her it was a lie. Friday April 13. Coincidental, right? Following year, not even realizing it was the 13th, some nerd rammed his truck into my beautiful little turbo & totalled it. OK. Slipped on an old French fry & fell three flights, fractured ribs. FRIDAY THE 13TH. Last Friday, a guy rammed on the brakes in front of me, TEENY dimple in his rusted bumper that I'm not even sure wasn't already there, screamed about a cut on his hand & wanted an ambulance immediately! Fire department wouldn't even take him, & his 14 year old son was HONEST enough to tell the fireman it had happened PRIOR when he was driving & trying to cut a peach at the same time. (The fire dept. doesn't make notes or keep records). The driver had no insurance, registration expired 2005, & the cops didn't even cite him. Wouldn't take statements. In Calif., any rear end is "assumed" to be the fault of the driver in back--I reported it to my insurance guy who said it was my choice to file a claim or not--no damage, no injuries?? But down the road, betcha a cookie this guy's back will go out & he'll have whiplash. AGAIN. I didn't even know it was Friday the 13th! (Self employed people who work 7 days a week hardly ever even keep track of what day of the week it is). This is now FOUR times, so I'm beginning to wonder.....

Normally, I consider Friday the 13th to be lucky for me, because I was born on March 13, and periodically my birthday falls on a Friday. This year, however, I found out that the money I have been expecting for the last month, which I had believed would finally be in my hands Friday, will not be available until Tuesday of next week. I have already had to accept paying a late fee on my rent, but now I have to calculate another $10 a day for that, plus late on other bills, with resulting late fees. Very, very bad day. Had to borrow money from my surrogate daughter just to buy groceries.

I don't not believe in Friday the 13 but I always forget it's Friday the 13th. Though it's wierd this year I had a really sh*tty day the day before Friday 13 and Friday 13 went okay.

You only have bad luck because you decide to believe you have bad luck. It gets worse if you say you will have bad luck. You get what you say.. I never have bad luck or good luck on Friday the 13th. It is the same as any other day. Becareful of what you say, you might get it.

My granmother died on Friday the 13th (October, 1985)
Other than that, no.
And I wouldn't really call it bad luck. I mean it was bad, but she was really sick and all that, so it wasn't out of the blue or anything.

no - I don't find the 13th to be unlucky. My oldest child was born on the 13th plus Jesus was the 13th person at the last supper.
