I think Americans have been very worried there could be another preemptive strike. After all, we went to war in Iraq, which was not a threat to us. Isn't it better to talk than start another war?

Diplomacy always brings peace.

Bombs only bring hatred from the global community.

When all this started I was so wanting to strike back at Iran for 9/11. It took Bush nearly 3 months to do anything and in the wrong country at that. I am with Aries on the fact that we would be better off just guarding our own borders and bringing our troops home.

Yes, but the present regime knows nothing about diplomacy.

They failed to use diplomacy before attacking and invading and occupying Iraq.

Their brand of diplomacy is to call other nations, that won't bow down to them, the "Axis of Evil," and other childish names.

Then when these other nations don't do everything this regime demands them to do, this regime uses pre-emptive strikes of violence against their civilian population, and when they send young Americans off to war they do it half prepared.

No body armor, no clean drinking water - Heck - They don't even have a very necessary tool when attacking other nations.

That necessary tool is called an exit strategy.

They get us involved in one lengthy war after the other.

All they know is violence.

You can bomb the world to pieces but he can't bomb the world to peach.

You can either relate this war with biblical terms or with historical events. In the bible this country always going to be war of the nations. In the history books in college I'm studying that history repeats it's self. Not on purpose but the events that led to another have a domino effect. The government is protecting us by taking the war to Iraq instead of in the U.S.

It is better to talk, but sometimes talking only goes so far. When diplomacy fails, you must result to violence.

Neville Chamberlain talked Hitler into "peace" back in the 1930's, but we all know the world would have been better off had Germany been attacked back then.

Yes, it is better to talk rather than to fight. That's what Clinton and company tried with N. Korea. They believed every word Kim said and gave Kim everything he needed to build the bomb he just exploded. Sometimes, talking just doesn't work.

I'll try to use simple logic for you, I'll dumb it way down so that you might understand. Ok, some bad men want to hurt you, and your mommy, and daddy too. We can make it so that they can't hurt anyone. Ok? That's a good girl....idiot.

Yes, in some ways. It eliminates some of the people that would bomb you. Sometimes it is better to talk than to go to war. It just depends who you are talking with and if you can trust them.

by bombing people, we somehow make them love america? afther they dig out of the rubble, then they want to be just like us---so that when they get into power, they can bomb others that they don't agree with...makes alot of sense...and oh, so VERY NEOCON!!
