Okay, I bought an Ipod Nano last year. When I use it, the battery dies quickly, but when I don't use it, it dies even quicker. I have the button pressed that doesn't allow the Ipod to turn on, but it doesn't help. Any ideas has to how I can keep my Ipod Nano from completely going out all the time?

Well, I've heard that there are some issues with the Nano and the hold button not working properly - so that might be your problem.

However, before you send it in for repair - try the following...

Go into iTunes and under one of the pull down menus at the top is an option to check for updates (it's under the "Help" pull down menu) - to make sure your iTunes has the latest software - and the iPod as well.

If that doesn't help anything - try to restore your iPod to it's original settings. You'll only want to do this if all the music on your iPod is also in your iTunes. If you've hooked up your iPod to friends computers and downloaded music off of there - you might not want to do this - anyways if you click on the icon for your iPod (when it's hooked up to your computer) - you should see an option to "restore" your iPod. This will wipe everything off the iPod, and restore the settings to when you pulled it out of the box.

If all your music is stored in iTunes, then it won't be a problem, because then you can just sync it again - and all the music will be back on there.

If those things don't work - consider bringing it into an Apple Store - they'll probably be able to fix it while you're standing there - and then you don't have to worry about shipping it off.

Goto Apple.com and there's a pull down list of stores about 1/2 way down the page - and see if there's one in your area.

Good luck to you.
