I am white, English, born and bred in this country. I dont have a passport as I have no intentions of travelling abroad and I dont have a driving licence and married so my birth certificate shows only my maiden name.

Yes I do have a national insurance number but if I want to open a bank/building society account they ask for 3 forms of identification!

From the information you gave, you must surely have a National Insurance No. This is your I D A bank or Building Society will ask you for any form of I D that contains your name and permanent address. You do not need a passport or driving licence to open a bank account. If you are working then your employer can also be contacted.

Get a Passport, even if you have no intention of using it for travel, it works very well for identification. They should also accept your birth certificate, if you supply marriage certificate also.
