we live along way away from one another. we dated years ago. and after 7 years of being apart we got in contact again. our lives in very different places. after 11 months of long distance dating, me flying to see her and vice versa. I popped the question in true romantic sytle. So now with the new found position we find ourselves in she and I alike are finding it increasingly difficult to be apart from one another. Has anyone ever had to go through this. It seems im being tested more now than ever with my loyalty to her. And for the record yes i am loyal to her. But it really seems like a cruel joke someone is playing on me. I dont let her know that im getting hit on, but she is beautiful im sure it happens to her daily. But being so far apart i choose not to tell her, i guess maybe i dont want to hear about guys hitting on her. Who knows just wanted a place to vent. And equally to see if anyone else has experienced this sort of delima. thank you for reading.

we were seattle and new york, and we worked it out for a year.. :) 5 years and two kids later!

She is beautiful to you, hon, but not to everyone, that's the point of being in love. Just make sure you don't let insecurity and anxting over worrying about cheating become more important than trust. If the accusations and stress starts, it will never end and you'll be done as a couple. Instead focus on what you're going to do when you do get together, and you can hit the ground running for your future!

yes it can work out if you have strong love for each other don't matter how many hit on you your heart is for her always keep in contact with her as much as possible and tell her things you plan to do with her once your together. I dated a guy a year before he moved to me and we are married for 6 months now so it can be done though I did see him more often being 2 1/2 hours away but you communicate and believe in each other you will work it all out in time. Good luck

If you are the jealous type then it certainly will cause fights but you know what they say "absence makes the heart grow fonder"
use this time to get to know each other better (by phone / E-mail / letter) and to plan your future. There will have to be a deadline on living like this which means a big change for one of you...

you need to continually deliver some Nyquil or tylenol pm with you. I never had a difficulty falling asleep on planes, yet an excellent form of my pals did and that's what they took to assist them out. It makes the time fly different than the seats are not too mushy.

advice from the bad experience files:

i once tried getting back together with a former girlfriend. in this case it was a bad idea. at first things seemed to be going well, but i found out she was just being deceitful and trying to destroy me as her revenge for whatever wrongs she perceived as me having done to her before. if you are really interested in this woman, make sure she is who you think she is.

Forget about it! Long distance relationships don't work. If you get the urge to merge you're going to get it someplace else and so will she. Best advice I can give you is look for somebody closer to home. I wish you goodluck.
