I just won a pair of tickets to an NHL game. My buddy won two last season and invited me, but my problem is there's this girl I really like who loves hockey and I want to invite her. Would it be breaking the code to slight my buddy in favor of this girl?

Just because your friend took you last time, doesn't mean you "owe" him...that's nice and all, but bottom line is that you should take whomever you want to take...you and he can do something else together, or go to some other sports event...or is there a way you could score a 3rd ticket and all of you go?

Ask the girl! When your buddy took you last season there shouldn't have been any obligation for you to have to take him to a game if you won tickets. I'm sure he'll understand.

No, you rightfully won the tickets to the game, so it is up to you as to who you wish to invite. Your buddy should not get upset if he is not invited.

you could always talk to him about it and see what he thinks or not tell him and take her, or if you are a really good friend buy and extra ticket, and tell him you won three and take the chick and your buddy both, just becareful of your buddy trying to take your kool-aid

other things will come up to repay him and if he was really your friend he would be more than happy to let you take this girl.and about the "code".first of all i've never heard of one and second to sometimes breaking the rules is not always a bad thing.(although i really don't think your breaking the rules.)
