"You're the Cream in My Coffee" is a popular song.

The music was written by Ray Henderson, the lyrics by Buddy G. DeSylva and Lew Brown. The song was published in 1928.

Inspiration isn't mentioned... but that was an era of VERY cute songs... cream sure goes well with coffee... so it suggests a great match.
