First you have to get rid of your parentheses. In the order of operations, everything inside parentheses gets done first.

-x-(13+4x)=-3(5-9x)+2
-x-13-4x= -15+27x+2
-5x-13=27x-13
-32x=0
x=0

Now we plug in our answer to see if it's mathematically correct.

-x-(13+4x)=-3(5-9x)+2
-0-(13+0)= -3(5-0)+2
-13= -15+2
-13= -13

So we know that zero is our answer.

Multiply out and get all the x terms on one side to solve for x.

-x - (13 + 4x) = -3(5 - 9x) + 2

-x -13 - 4x = -15 + 27x + 2

I think the rest of the problem you should be able to work out for yourself. The tricky part was what to do with the negative in front of (13+4x) and the -3 in front of (5-9x).

Good luck kiddo!

-x - (13+4x) = -3(5-9x) + 2
-x -13- 4x = -15 +27x +2 <<< Multiply everything through.
-x -4x -13 = 27x -15 +2 <<< Group like terms together.
-5x -13 = 27x - 13 <<< Add like terms.
-13 = 32x - 13 <<< Add 5x to both sides.
0 = 32x <<< Add 13 to both sides.
0 = x <<< Divide both sides by 32.
