If I have Roadrunner high-speed internet and a wireless network running at 54mbps, is that going to slow down the internet on my computer not hooked up to the router?

No, your internet connection is much slower than 54Mps

Well you HAVE TO connect verything to the router. If you dont the computer directly to the cable modem is going ot have internet and the oruter isnt or the router is and comp isnt. And no it wont. The wireless is going ot go slower than at direct connection no matter what.

no,but if you have basic roadrunner and have computers that are hooked up by wire can have 100 Mbps or higher. Wireless speeeds go 54 Mbps or faster (depending on Wireless-G , Wireless-B , Wireless-A)

No, but you would be better with that computer hooked up to the router as well.

if you dont hook up the router your have no internet
