I've been going to the gym 2-3 times a week for 2 years now. I'm looking better, but wouldn't say "toned". It's HARD. I recommend getting a personal trainer - just started with one a month ago, and already seeing a difference.

I have a "plan" to work out.
So far it has been taking me about this past year to actually start to work out. So once I get that going, I can see how long it will take me to start looking toned.

It depends on the efficiency of the program you are on. Body for life has a good sensible workout plan that always works. You will see results in about a month and noticeable results in 2 to 3 months. Diet and rest as well as drinking lots of water are important. Make sure you do both cardio and weight bearing workouts. Yoga is also good.

I started about 3 years ago and it took about a year, but i was about 90 bls heavier so it took longer than you will probably hear from others... now it would take me a couple of months to 'buff up'

Over the summer, I used to wake up at 6 AM every day and exercise for an hour... These days, I don't work out at all, but I really need to!

1 hour everyday. About 6 months. It depends on the shape you're in to begin with.
