Because they are insecure and have very low self astem!Even the most Popular person could be this way,She would hide it by being mean to girls she feels is a threat to her,Like a smarter girl,pretter girl and boys are the same way,I know it Stinks but thats just life,be glad your not so insecure and mean as these persons,they will end up lonly and misarable person if they don,t change and thats sad!Hollywood

People are cruel and forget that inside that different person is a person just like them, with feelings and needs. I despise cruelty. Nothing makes me more angry than to see someone "hurt" someone out of pure meanness because they are different. Prejudice is the supreme injustice. We should be outraged, but I marvel that we are not. I cannot fathom that.

It's like the old Star Trek show about two different people who are half white and half black. They hate each other because one is white on the left side and the other is black on the left side. Kinda stupid isn't it? Trying to change people is like trying to rub off a leopard's spots. Can't be done. It's human nature to dislike anyone different than themselves.

I think it is because people have a natural inbred fear of anything that is different...they don't know how to cope with something that is not what they consider "normal." They act out in anger or get defensive because of their fear......it's a survival instict that is in everyone...people and animals. And then, there are the select few out there who just get a thrill out of hurting people...I call those people sick bastards lol.

They don't know what is inside the person. People only see the external. Most do not see the heart or the emotions that people have. I hope you see people for their inner beauty and not look solely on external influences.

People who are mean to others usually do so because they are unhappy with themselves. They have poor self concepts or self esteems, so they pick on others to make themselves feel better. Some people also do it out of ignorance (lack of knowledge).

People who are immature and ignorant are afraid of others who aren't exactly like them, so they mask their fear by being mean and rude.
It's best to avoid having these type of people in your life. They don't add anything positive to your life at all.
