I LOVE there stuff. Agent Pendergast is the best character in any book out there.
I'm fond of John Saul, Some of Dean koontz stuff "the taking " was a good book.
I've looked for other books like those with them but haven't found any yet.

Well Douglas Preston does have a bunch of novels out there in bookland that he didn't co-write with Lincoln Child. You might want to check them out. They both Douglas and Lincoln, while some of the books may seem scary are more in the adventure/mystery genre and if you like these books, you might want to check out Matthew Reilly, James Rollins, Jack duBrul, Ted Bell and others who write these types of books. Happy reading.

James Rollins is GREAT and along the same lines as Preston and Child. His earlier books are better, IMO. Try Amazonia, Excavation and Subterranean - all very suspenseful in a little "other-worldly" way.

I like Preston and Child also. I have read all of them except the last one (the one after Dance of Death).
If you are looking for someone else to read, try Dean Koontz or Michale Crichton.

I just read two books by Lisa Gardner, one called "The Perfect Husband" and the other called "The Other Daughter".
Both were really great for me because I could not figure out how it was done (1st book) or who dun it (2nd book) until it was actually revealed by the author.
I don't know how they stack up to your authors, but I highly recommend them.
Have fun, and happy reading!

Rats by James Herbert is the scariest book I've read. Had me curling my toes and lifting my feet from the floor.
