Yes it is worth the purchase simply because Nintendo support this product by allowing more third party game developers to offers game for their system... This all means more games more games and more games...
The other hand held gamers, and you know who they are, seem to take for ever to release a new game... Often times the games are similar to the last game...
Nintendo offer your variety of games... so much fun!

well that would depend on what kind of games you are into. the DS is more affordable and it has a pretty wide selection of fun games but its very lacking in graphics. the PSP is more expensive but the graphics are through the roof for handheld's and the games are geared towards serious gamers with alot of action and rpg and sports games. so to answer your question yes but so is the PSP. it depends on what kind of games you prefer.

definately, contrary to what someone said, you can go online with some games, and it's very awesome to play tetris against online opponents. Game wise, Tetris, and Animal Crossing make the DS more than worth it

Nintendo DS has horrible graphic terrible sound no online play nada not worth buying. You should instead buy a PSP which has perfect graphic and great sound awesome games that`s worth buying. http://www.scea.com

if you do buy it, please do yourself a favor and get the D.S. Lite. It's what-$20 more than the first model of D.S.? Plus, you could get the savvy pink, black, or white color. Oooh, napolean ice cream flavors.
Oh, got distracted there. I like the D.S. (Lite) b/c it is fun to carry around and play whenever I get bored or I link up w/ friends and play-that is a lot of fun.
So, to each gamer his and her own preference!

No, get a psp. The ds part's get lost easily. Also, if you put one finger on it. you'll see the mark for a long time.

yes it is the best it has games for every one like animal crossin, brain age, mario kart , new supuper mario bros but if u get 1 the lite
