Sticky Tack. It is perfect for this kind of thing. It is easy to apply, and if you ever want to take it off, it will easily come off, and you can reuse it as often as you like.

The most likely reason your decal is falling off the wall is because of the paint. Fathead is a well known company with quality product. See the attached link for why wall decals fail.
The only thing you can do is either prepare your wall properly, or try heating the decal with a hair dryer and then pressing the adhesive into the wall.
Using craft glues and the likes will result in the decal becoming a lot more permanent than you probably wanted.

We have the stuff Summer Time Mom was talking about at our craft store. Only it is white and it is called U-HU TAC. It is like gum paste. I use it on every thing. Even pictures on the wall because it keeps them straight ( I hate crooked pictures).
I think they sell another brand at Wal-mart that is blue. You should be able to find it where they sell the posters or in the stationary dept.

go to a craft store , there is this stuff you can buy that looks like blue bubble gum, you can put it on just about anything & it will stick plus it's easy to remove when you want to do so ( sorry I can't remember what it's called)
