I am looking at phones since I recently broke mine and the most afforable plan I was looking at seems to be t-mobile. I just need a few questions answered, for people with t-mobile carrier.
1. can you use your whenever minutes for texting? or do you have you buy the messages bundle (like any 400 messages for $5...etc.)?
2. is it unlimited texts on the weekends too? or just unlimited calling?

The answer is different depending on which plan you're looking at. If you want a regular plan that you pay monthly then:
1. you can't use your whenever minutes for texting. You'll have to buy a message bundle or else all text messages sent and received will be $.05 per message.
2. There are no unlimited texts on weekends. The only way to get unlimited texts is to purchase the unlimited plan which is for 14.99 on a single line and 19.99 if you have a family plan.
If you are looking for a prepaid plan then there are no message bundles for those and the text messages you use are taken out of the dollar amount left on your account. Text messages on the prepaid plan are $.10 to send and free to receive. Picture and multimedia messages are $.25 to send and free to receive.

YES u use whenever minutes for texting/u can buy a block of minutes {mine is 4.99 for 500 messages/no unlimited texted.U can have unlimited if thats in your plan.There is what i got with tmobile:800 wneh ever minutes/unlimited nites and weekends/mobile to mobile/i added text for 4.99/my bill was 60.00 a month/i never went over my minutes.my opion dont take there plans month to month/they will mess u up.and your bill gets higher.I got prepaid i pay 25.00 a month plus taxes.100 anytime,receive a text is free/and send is 10 cents a call/u cn buy cards/10.00/25.00/50.00/and 100.00 /when reach 100.00 on your phone u get 15% more with each card too.

I have a tmobile phone with a family plan and it with unlimited nights and weekends for 49.00 me and my husband. we don't use text message and think it is only a few dollars more with the plan you choose. but what you told me that sound like a good plan.
