They did 'sorta alright' around the same time - but nothing like the Oasismania in Britain. They'd have gotten a good spot at bigger festivals but wouldn't have headlined. Any alt rock station would have had them on the morning show, but they never exactly packed stadiums either. Strong 2nd-tier band - Radiohead did much better as a British import.

It reached too far and for too long. They had some good stuff at the start then the ego outdid the music and the tragically appaling behaviour just proved that they really were just scummy little brain dead idiots... shame really as I quite liked their first album (don't tell anyone though!)

THEIR time should have been over sooner than it was and THEIR music reached too far and was inflicted on too many people who didn't enjoy it

well, here's hoping they did make it in the usa..... and let's hope they keep them...... after over 10 years of listening to their whiney voices, and ripped-off lyrics and music, it's about time some other country had to put up with them......

I'd say they were really popular in LA up until the last couple of years. But yeah, they were big.

I remember when they were big over here, I had their tape with Wonderwall on it. Yes, I said tape. Take that to mean what you will.

yeah they made it big, reallybig with Wonderwall and so forth. right now since they have a new sound and new CD out they made it even bigger: their songs are played so much its crazy!then they know they made it really big!
