This is a question that could take us on a very, very long journey, but I'll try to focus. Two (I think) answers said money can't buy happiness & I totally disagree. Certainly happiness can be an "attitude" in spite of all the in spite ofs, but consider a couple working full time who can't afford decent housing, health insurance, child care, food--let alone any fun! Would money help to make them happy? The elderly who have to choose between life saving medication & food? People with beloved pet companions who can't afford vets? I won't digress. The stresses of being poor can cause all sorts of health problems, compounding the stress--& what about the fulfillment some people would get from contributing to research, organizations, etc. if they were to win the lottery? Also recall someone said "money hurts people." HOW? Some people NEVER HAVE ENOUGH; money has nothing to do with how it can be enjoyed, or shared--just the idea of "getting" it, but I truly can't believe in such an "absolute" as MONEY HURTS PEOPLE. Certainly I'd like to win the lottery! But I never buy tickets or whatever the things are called, so I'm not obsessed by it. My X & I used to go to Vegas on vacation, & I never played anything but craps, & always won--& what a bloody good feeling to share that money with my family & friends! Balderdash! "Money can't buy happiness" is denial. If it works, go for the concept, but there's so much more to it!

Of course! Do you know all the people and family I could help with a jackpot. I dream of this alot. But remember money doesn't buy happiness. We all wish for more money. Just gotta be careful of what we do with it.

Yes, I would buy my dad the Cadillac he has always wanted but could never afford. (always took care of us and my mom when she was ill. ) I would give each sibling (except my evil sister) 1 million and my dad 1 million and in~laws 1 million and pay off my house, pay off my 2 credit cards. donate 1 million to my cousin who is a Missionary in Bangladesh. Put 1 million in each of my 2 girl's bank accounts. and with the 5 dollars I have left, buy myself a venti cafe mocha with a big smile on my face. :)

Yes, up to a million dollars after taxes. Anything over that would be too much of a management responsibility.
