I think this may be connected with the fact that I carry my keys in my right pocket, and that there is an electrical charge between the copper key and an iron key, but I am not sure. Would that induce a numb feeling anyway?

The numb feeling comes and goes. I do lots of exercise so I cant imagine that it is my circulation.

Do answerers have any ideas?

Believe it or not, it could be a blood clot......they can hit with no warning and you wouldn't necessarily feel any discomfort, other than numbness because it is restricting blood flow in and out of the leg. Plenty of perfectly "healthy" people have experienced blood clots. I would advise you go to the doctor and have it checked out. If it is a blood clot, it can dislodge and travel through the blood stream to your heart, and can be fatal. Good luck!

Go to see your doctor. Numbness could indicate bad circulation, it could indicate any number of other things. It is probably nothing to worry about, so stop playing `Russian roulette` get it sorted right away.

you need to work out your clinical specialist. yet contained in the interim, in case you could take care of no longer to take a bathtub the following day, attempt this widespread help of mine. At evening, wrap the painful parts with plastic. Any ordinary plastic will do. get rid of the plastic each and every after 2 hours to enable replace it with yet another one. do no longer enable the plastice stay longer than 2 hours in the different case, you would have blisters. Then contained in the morning, basically attempt to work out if the discomfort lessens. If no longer, bypass and word your clinical specialist then.
