The length of snowboard you need has absolutely NOTHING to do with how tall you are. Think about it, how does an inanimate object like a snowboard or a pair of skis have any idea how tall you are? A snowboard reacts to your weight, your ability level and they type of riding you'll do.
Snowboards will have a suggested rider weight range. If you plan on riding faster or in deep powder get a board at the longer end of your weight range. If you prefer riding the park then you'd be better off with a board at the shorter end of your range. Remember to keep your foot size in mind when buying a board. If you have a foot size 11 or bigger you are going to need a wide board.
Any good snowboard shop should be able to help you out. Good luck

The board should be anywhere from your eye brow to your chin. It depends on what kind of riding you want to do. If you want to do park and pipe, you want something shorter, lighter and more flex. If you are going to do back country you want something longer and less flex. If your just going to do free riding...it's really up to you and what you prefer. I would say anything that reaches your chin would be the best size. Go down to one of these snowboard/ ski shops and have them help you pick something out. Good luck and happy shredding!
addition: Paul is right...weight matters too. On the board that you are looking at they should give you an chart that tells you what board size would be the best depending on your weight. Actualy height does matter because how the heck are you gonna snowboard with a super long board? So yes it matters but i guess it's not just the height, it's weight too. and the type of riding you will do. Good luck.

First of all, you need to find a board that if you stand it straight up right in front of you it comes right beneath your nose. The bindings depend on the size board you have. For example if you have a slightly skinny board and your bindings are to long they can hang over the side of your board which is bad because when you turn on your board your feet will catch on the snow and throw you off balance. So I suggest going to a sports store and having someone there help you put together a board for you.

What the others said is true but if your taller and have a little more meat on your bones you should get a little longer board. You will have a smoother ride and able to get up a little more speed.Get a board for what type of riding you plan on doing also.

its a combo of height and weight. first make sure you know how tall you are. most snowboards should be as tall as the top of your head at the longest, and at your chest at the shortest. then make sure you know your weight. if your heavy for your hight go closer to your head, if your light for your hieght go closer to your chest. also consider the boards, flexibility. if your heavy and get a really flexible you could snap it to easilly. if your light and get a really stiff one your wont be able to contol it. your riding style should also affect the flexiblilty. more flex for freestyle, less for racing/ going fast

If you think you'll grow, get a board that goes about and inch above your chin from the floor, but if you won't grow, just get one to your chin. Also, make sure your board isn't super thick or you won't be able to turn easily!

Toes to Chin are the best way but if you want to go fast shalom toes the nose help for that but if you are well rounded for tricks and shalom and Border cross then toes to chin

Measure from your toes to your chin. That should do nicely.
