If the skill button would not artwork, something is heavily incorrect on the hardware point. It looks like the motherboard itself is locked up by some ability or maybe the RAM is not any longer perfect seated interior the motherboard slots. regrettably, all you're able to do at this factor is skill the device off on the skill furnish. and then skill it lower back on and want the freeze become a random prevalence and not broken components.

If it is XP it should be just fine. If your puter came with an install CD put in a drive and reboot. and when it opens you should be able to do repairs or go into a system restore.. or reinstall windows.
If you have the reinstall on your computer in a separate drive.. then tap F10 while your computer is turning on , until a window for restoring your computer opens up. Then follow instructions for repairing.. Good Luck.....
PS... Maybe the button is damaged or broken.

Could just be that you have corruption on one of your NTFS Partitions. Obtain a bootable copy of Windows called -> BartPE
Boot from your CD-Rom drive a copy of BartPE, and goto a command prompt. Run - 'CMD'
at the prompt type chkdsk /r
follow the instructions to repair your disk.
