ok so i have to make a country for government class, i want to put my country in the gulf of Mexico located on 25degree latitude nad 95 degree longitude, so what is the location?

Well, it's definitely NOT 25 W and 95 N, because such a location doesn't exist. Longitude must be given in east/west notations, and latitude is measured north/south. What's more, latitude only goes up to 90 degrees--the North Pole. So you must mean 95 degrees west and 25 degrees north. That location would be pretty much in the middle of nowhere, an island or perhaps an offshore oil rig somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico. The location would be straight east of the Texas/Mexico border, where the Rio Grande empties into the Gulf of Mexico. It's straight south of Houston, north of Veracruz, and west of Ft. Myers. ... I'd hate to be there in a hurricane.
