i don't even allow my husband to take bath just shower cause how can we clean ourselves without good clean running water and having to soak ourselves just with our own dirty water even and having worked in a hotel and travel so much i've never bath myself in a bath tub cause the way that the staffs cleans it are nightmare when you see them doing it and God knows what all the previous guess has ever done in the tub before, you all think it's proper sanitise?....always think shower is the most safest way......

As late as the late Victorian Era, sharing bath water was no big thing. Sometimes whole families shared bath water, thus, the last to use it (the baby) was sometimes lost in the dark grey water, just before it was thrown out--hence the phrase, 'throwing out the baby with the bath water'. Maybe the Belgian woman's family never gave up the custom. B.

It is pretty common outside the US, especially in Japan where multiple family members will share the bath water. Difference being that they will typically shower before they bathe. The bath is more for relaxation than getting clean.

It's not nasty if the water isn't too dirty. Maybe they are just conserving water. What difference should it make to you anyhow?

Sharing tub water with your loved ones contributors could desire to be completely proper... yet i think of i could draw the line at utilising my mom in regulation's tub water.... some anybody is even wierd approximately utilising towels that somebody else of their kin have used... i think of we live in a society of extra for optimistic if we can not even share any own issues between kin contributors. :-)
