Yes there are disposable sheets that have plastic on the bottom and the wetness doesn't go through to the mattress.

yea its called a matress protector, go to ur local bed shop and buy one or argos is good

rubber backed mattress covers, I have one for my child in case he wets the bed or spills something, nothing will protect your sheets, but it protects the mattress

a towel works for us but usually its a case of grabbing whatever is close to hand normally the clothes we have just taken off or if you know your going to get it grab a hand towel and put it close by
